Good book but I thought it would expand on the Bible Study DVD. Unfortunately, I found them to be so similar there was not point in buying the book. So, if you're considering this for your Bible Study group I's suggest either the Book or the DVD but not both.Product details

The title of this book attracted me as it said just how I felt, I wanted to "become more than a good Bible study girl". I read the book by myself first, then did it as a study with a group, and gained a lot of insight into what it means to be a functioning Christian. It's easy to sit safely if your pew each Sunday and listen to the pastor, then go home and think nothing more about it, but this book certainly explains how to put the "theory into practice". Loved this author, she's so practical and down to earth. I look forward to doing other studies by her.
Another Bible study that relies on emotions too much. I am tired of so many women's Bible studies that are about not measuring up, feelings of inadequacy, and immaturity. I didn't finish this so maybe it gets better, but it is not for me.
If you are looking for a book that will take you deeper in your relationship with God, cause self reflection, and leave you wanting more, this is a book for you. Lysa shares her personal growth in her relationship and challenges you to examine the depth of your personal relationship with God.
Just loved this book! Spoke to my heart and helped me really evaluate my heart. Sometimes during the years of serving we lose focus of who we are, and this book helped me get back on track in so many areas. Thank you Lisa for giving so much to us through your writing!

This has become my prayer as well and I am looking for great things to be happening in my life as I continue to draw closer to the Lord.
This book is like all of Lysa's previous books - inspiring. She comes alongside you as a trusted friend to guide and encourage. A must read!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. In reading the reviews, it seemed like this book was targeted toward newer Christians and I disagree. I felt like some things were great reminders while others were new to me, or something I could change my perspective on. I thought all of the stories were relateable and genuine.
I love Lysa Terkeurst books..this book makes you look at passages not just words, but makes GOD's word come alive..
I read this book before, gave it away, bought again, just to have in my library of Christian Books to remind myself to totally live who I am, what I have been given...
